Joseph Amerino Andreatta

OGDEN — Joseph Amerino Andreatta, 85, died at his home. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Andreatta was born June 15, 1923, in Frontier, Wyo., to Joe and Lucy Martini Andreatta Carboni. He lived in Ogden all his life. He married Florence Paterno Aug. 22, 1953, in St. Patrick’s Church in Kemmerer, Wyo. He was a former member of Saint Joseph Parish, Ogden, where he was a minister of communion, and always put Christ first in his life. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a carman. He was recognized with a special plaque for 45 years of injury-free service. He retired in November 1986. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 14399, and a member of the Trentini Italians of Utah.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Florence; cousins, Jorjean and Ronald Jung.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment was in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
