SALT LAKE CITY — Joseph B. Rawls, 53, passed away July 28, 2012.

Rawls was born in Montgomery, Ala. on May 29, 1959 to James Buford and Harriet Faulk Rawls.

Rawls was a registered nurse, a paramedic with the Millbrook Fire Department and was an EMT/paramedic instructor at Trenholm State Technical College.

He is survived by wife Angela; step-daughter Hannah; sister Leellen (Andy) Willis and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rawls was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church.
