SALT LAKE CITY — Joseph Patton Bailey, Jr., 91, died Jan. 17 at his home. He was a member of Saint Ambrose Parish.
Bailey was born June 20, 1916, to Joseph and Nellie Bailey. He graduated from West High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He married Josephine Pellicani Sept. 5, 1942 in Rockland, Maine. He was a retired postal clerk and an active member of Saint Ambrose 49ers Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years; children, James (Robin), Nancy (Dennis), Margaret (Steve), and Elizabeth; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Benjamin F. Bailey.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
