SALT LAKE CITY — Joseph R. Miera, 70, died May 18. Miera was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Salt Lake City to Louie and Bernadette Miera. He married the love of his life, Linda J. Martinez in 1959. His greatest passion in life was owning and operating M.R.J. Roofing and providing for his family. He is survived by his wife; four children, Joe Michael (Jackie), Rudy Anthony (Geneva), Kathy Margaret (Dean) Herres, Lynne Miera; eight grandchildren; Michael (Lisa), Victoria, Rudy Jr., AnnMarie, Riley, Makinley, Joelinda, Christopher; three great-grandchildren, Tacoma, Phenix, and Dayton; four sisters, Susie, Kelly, Teresa Chaves, Linda Pina, and Betty; two brothers, Ernie Miera, and Benny Miera. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
