SALT LAKE CITY — Josephine Mirabelli, 88, passed away Sept. 29, 2011. She was born Sept. 27 1923 in Pedivigliano, Italy to Joseph and Ernestina Peluso Barber. She immigrated to the United States in 1947 and married Gildo Mirabelli in 1951. Mirabelli was a member of the Italian American Civic League, Club Vision, and the Catholic Woman’s League. She enjoyed the monthly Saint Ambrose Senior Luncheons. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary faithfully. Mirabelli is survived by her three children, Donna, Dick (Holly), and Rosalie; four grandchildren; brother Alfred "Dino" (Lolly) Barber; sister Gina Parrotta; brother-in-law, Mario Mirabelli; sister-in-law, Irene Mirabelli; and nieces and nephews A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church.
