SALT LAKE CITY — Joyce Elizabeth Brinkman, 69, passed away from Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) Aug. 18, 2012.

Brinkman was born in Hereford, Texas on Sept. 1, 1942 to A.A. (Fuss) and Marie Brinkman. She married Leon Evans.

Brinkman is survived by her mother; siblings Ronald, Jacquelyn, Louise, Bernadette, and Bart; children Gina Evans, Marcus (Jill) Evans, Alexander (Heather) Evans, Elizabeth Evans (James Sewell); 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Olaf Catholic Church.
