DRAPER — Lindsey Padjen, a senior soccer player at Juan Diego Catholic High School was selected to the 2005 National Soccer Coach of America Association (NSCAA) Adidas Girls High School Scholar All-American Team. She is the only player in Utah to make the team.

All American Team players must be seniors who have a minimum 3.75 cumulative grade point average. Padjen carries a cumulative 3.99 grade point average. She had to submit an application with the national review board, who evaluated both her academic records, athletic abilities, and her involvement in the community. She has accumulated her service hours helping out at St. Francis Xavier Regional School.

Jamie Schock, Juan Diego soccer coach, said what makes Padjen a great soccer player is her ability to play soccer along with her strong work ethic. "She is a leader both on the field and in school activities, and other players look up to her. She plays forward, which is an attacking and scoring position, but she is a very unselfish player."

Padjen’s All-State awards include Academic All-State Girls Basketball and Girls Soccer teams, All-State Honorable Mention Girls Basketball, All-State Girls Soccer Second Team, and All-State Track her sophomore year.
