EAST CARBON — Julia Lopez Cisneros, 90, passed away Jan. 30, 2013. Cisneros was born July 1, 1922 in Grand Junction, Colo., to Jose Pablo and Lonicia Sandoval Lopez. On Nov. 5, 1948 she married Benny R. Cisneros at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. As an active member of the Catholic Church, Julia served as a lector, eucharistic minister and sacristan for years. In 1986, she was honored as the Good Shepherd Catholic Woman of the Year. Cisneros is survived by husband Benny Cisneros, son Mike (Bonnie) Cisneros, three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. Cisneros was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tony and Paul Lopez and three sisters: Delia Pacheco, Juanita Lopez and Cora Jones. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
