SALT LAKE CITY — Lawrence D. Vierra, 80, passed away March 25, 2012.

Vierra was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. on Aug. 30, 1931.

Vierra was preceded in death by stepson Steven Silva.

Vierra is survived by his wife, Nellie; step-daughter Darleen (David) Freitas ; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers in Hawaii, Ernest, LeRoy, Richard and Bernard; and two sisters, Margaret and Kathleen.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
