Since the Founding of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem 900 years ago, members have dedicated themselves to personal sanctification, fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, support of the Christian Community in the Holy Land and to sustain the rights of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land.

Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre of the Diocese of Salt Lake City continue this tradition through prayer and pilgrimage, active involvement in their parish and a commitment of financial resources to support Catholic institutions in the Holy Land.

"Financial contributions by members of the Order and especially to the Good Friday Collection by every parish in Utah and worldwide are used to support our Christian brothers and sisters and maintain the holy shrines in the land of our Lord's birth, agony, death and glorious resurrection," said Pieter Scholte, area co-councillor for the Diocese of Salt Lake City.

This includes support for: arish churches and community centers; convents, seminaries and seminarians; clinics and hospitals; parish grade schools, high schools and Bethlehem University.

The funds also provide tuition scholarships and humanitarian assistance for food and medical supplies.
