SALT LAKE CITY — Ludwig Heinrich Strottner, 90, passed away Feb. 29, 2012.

Strottner was born April 16, 1921 in Kaiserlautern, Germany to Ludwig and Frieda Hartmann Strottner. He married Helene Mackowiak on Oct. 25, 1941 in Dalgow-Doeberitz, Germany. The family emigrated in 1965.

Strottner was preceded in death by his wife, parents, siblings and a grandson, Olaf Coffin.

Strottner is survived by his children: Erika (Leroy) Coffin, Rolf Strottner, Soenke Strottner, Jane Strottner, Tom (Kristy) Strottner; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.
