Mario Mirabelli

SALT LAKE CITY — Mario Gabriel Mirabelli, 97, passed away Feb. 8, 2015. 

Mirabelli was born Aug. 8, 1917 in Rizzuti, Italy to Domenic and Rose Bianca Mirabelli. At the age of 16, he immigrated to the United States with his father and older brothers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. He worked for the Utah Woolen Mills and Mr. Mac. He was an active member of the Italian-American Civic League and a member of Saint Ann Parish. 

Mirabelli is survived by nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Mirabelli was preceded in death by father Domenic; mother Rose; brothers Luigi, Aurelio, Gildo, Oreste; and sister Angelina. 

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church.
