SALT LAKE CITY — Mary Brunt Eagan, 100, passed away on Aug. 6, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Villa.

Eagan was born Aug. 4, 1912 in Portage, Wis., to John and Clara Brunt. She married Paul Patrick Eagan in October 1936. A devout Catholic, she attended daily Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish during Lent. She was an avid bowler, scoring a number of 700 series and competing in the Catholic Women’s League until she was 94. She golfed until age 95, and once scored a hole in one.

Eagan is survived by seven children: Mary Pat Ziegler (Tom), Judy, Larry (Yvonne), Gary (Donna), Jerry (Cathy), Kerry (Deb) and Barry (Kate); 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Eagan was preceded in death by her husband, son Terry, two grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
