Mary Patricia Molumby Reinert

Our dear mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Mary Patricia Molumby Reinert passed away August 19, 2020 in Salt Lake City.  

She was born November 14, 1925 in West Union, Iowa to parents Dr. L.F. and Mamie Riley Molumby. She married Dr. John E. Reinert in Wilmette, Illinois.

 Mary was mother to three sons: Dennis, Nolanville, Texas; Kevin, deceased; and Terrance, Salt Lake City.

Mary Pat attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as a registered nurse in Des Moines, Iowa. For 14 years, Mary gave many hours as a volunteer at Salt Lake Regional Hospital and Veterans Hospital.

Mary’s greatest joys were shopping and going to Wendover. She was a friend to everyone she met and always knew their names.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and sons Dennis and Terrance. Preceded in death by parents, son, brother M.J. Molumby, sisters Colleen Molumby and Marge Borrell.

Thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Villa for their care the last five years and a big thank you to Alexis Chand at Simbii Home Care and Hospice for her care and service. Also special thanks to Dalene Widerburg, a special friend, and cousins Bill and Nancy Liston for their loving care.

Due to COVID-19, a private family service will be held. Burial: Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
