SALT LAKE CITY — Massimo "Max" Costanzo, 91, passed away March 1, 2013. 

Costanzo was born June 21, 1921, in Pedivigliano, Italy, to Stefano and Vincenza Costanzo. He married Rita Barbiero, on Aug. 30, 1946. He worked with Salt Lake County government or in the vegetable garden that was his pride and his refuge. He was a devout Catholic; he and his wife never missed a Sunday Mass until their health but not their faith failed them.

Costanzo is survived by sons Fausto (Barbara), Ruggiero and Giuseppe (Sylvia Kronstadt); daughter Maria Teresa (Brad) Andreason; a granddaughter; great-grandchildren and sister Teresa.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church.
