Salt Lake City — Michael J. Buckley Jr., 80, passed away Feb. 9, 2012. Buckley was born Aug. 18, 1931 to Michael J. Buckley Sr. and Katherine Cahill Buckley. He served as a first lieutenant in West Germany. He married Mary A. Ulibarri on Aug. 27, 1965. Buckley was an active participant in the Catholic Church. He was an usher, lector and Eucharist minister at many parishes: Saint Thomas More, Saint Vincent de Paul, Blessed Sacrament, Saint Patrick, Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and The Cathedral of the Madeleine. He was also a Knight of Columbus and worked as a volunteer at the Shrine of Lourdes, France. Buckley is survived by his wife and two sons, Paul and Michael Patrick. A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Carmelite Monastery.
