The finishing touches are being put on a new addition to Mission Santa Ana in Tremonton. The $300,000 building project will add four new religious education classrooms to the mission’s current three classrooms, as well as additional storage space and men’s and women’s rest rooms, said Eddy Barela, a member of the mission who is helping to oversee the project. Clockwise from above left, the exterior of the addition is finished with siding matching the original building; Contractor Vance Browne lays cement; one of the classrooms is ready for flooring; a second classroom will include shelves and a sink; a plaque from the Catholic Church Extension Society is testament to the generosity of the mission organization that helped build the original mission building. The diocese has requested a second gift from the Extension Society to help pay for the new addition. Barela said he plans to drill two new wells on mission property to provide water for irrigation and landscaping.
