Mrs. Wood retires from St. Francis Xavier School

Friday, May. 08, 2015

KEARNS — It is with sadness and joy that we announce Mrs. Mollie Wood’s retirement from Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School.
Mrs. Wood has been teaching for 35 years total and 26 years at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School.
We are saddened to lose such a dedicated, caring, and professional educator who has devoted her life to teaching in Catholic schools.
Nonetheless, we are joyful that Mrs. Wood will be retiring in order to spend time with her husband, her children, and especially her grandchildren.
During her tenure at St. Francis Xavier, Mrs. Wood has taught both 5th and 3rd grades. She also served on numerous committees both at Saint Francis and the Diocese of Salt Lake City. For years, Mrs. Wood has provided guidance for the St. Francis principals through the Administrative Council, and she has served on a number of local and diocesan curriculum committees, as well as assisting the school through three accreditations. Her talents, experience, and sage advice will be sorely missed!
Please join us in a celebratory Retirement Reception, honoring Mrs. Mollie Wood on Saturday, May 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the gymnasium at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns.
