SALT LAKE CITY — Muriel Kolb, 91, passed away Feb. 5, 2012.

Kolb was born in Worcester, Mass., in 1920. She married Jewell Kolb in 1940; together they lovingly raised five children. She was a devoted Catholic. She volunteered endless hours to her church right up until weeks ago. She received countless awards from the Catholic Church ,including "Woman of the Year." She spent the last 50 plus years as an officer or board member in the Catholic Woman’s League. She was so happy to be in Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, where Father Patrick Carley is pastor; he was indeed a very special friend, blessing her with Last Rites just hours before her passing.

Kolb was preceded in death by her son Michael and husband Jewell.

Kolb is survived by children Dan (Connie), Grace Mayo, Sandi Aloia (Sam), Trish O’Brien (Randy); 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
