Benedictine Sister Michaela Hedican, the newly elected 16th prioress of the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minn., visited Mount Benedict Monastery in Ogden during the week of Sept. 12. She is shown at the reception on Sept. 13. Sr. Michaela was elected Feb. 27 and installed June 5 at Sacred Heart Chapel in St. Joseph. She replace Sister Nancy Bauer, who served as prioress for six years and oversaw the realignment of Mount Benedict Monastery in Ogden with Saint Benedict’s Monastery in Minnesota. Sr. Michaela has visited the Beehive State several times, including last October, when she took a trip to southern Utah. IC photo/Marie Mischel
