Rubie Pucci-Turpin

Salt lake City — Rubie Pucci-Turpin, 73, died Oct. 26, 2010. She was a member of Saint Jude Maronite Catholic Church.

Pucci-Turpin was born Sept. 3, 1937, to Perena and Raffele Pucci in Murray, Utah. She married Jerry Hellewell; they divorced. She married Stan Turpin; he preceded her in death. Growing up, she worked on the family farm. One of her proud moments was being crowned the Italian Day queen. She was an licensed practicing nurse and enjoyed the nursing field where she received her associate’s degree at Cape Cod Community College in Nantucket, Mass. She retired from UPS. She was a breast cancer survivor and a fighter to the end. She was a member of the Italian-American Civic League, and was a devout Catholic.

She is survived by her five children Perilee Hutchinson, Brenda Hansen, Mark Turpin, Daniele Turpin and Gregory Turpin; 11 grandchildren; and brother Ralph Pucci.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Jude Maronite Catholic Church. Interment was in Murray City Cemetery.

James Seale

SALT LAKE CITY — James Seale, 87, died Oct. 30, 2010.

Seale was born July 11, 1923, in Franciso, Ind., to Wafe and Pearl Seale. He graduated in 1942, from Rock Springs High School. He married Florence Zamboni on April 24, 1948; she preceded him in death. He later married Sandi. He attended the University of Wyoming before enlisting in the U.S. Navy and was assigned on PT boats in both the European and Pacific Theaters, decorated in both theaters. He worked with Questar in 1955, in Wyoming, retiring in 1985, as head of Gas Control. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1976. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Upon retirement, he traveled with his wife.

He is survived by his son Jim; wife Sandi and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment was in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Frank D. Rinna

PRICE — Frank Dominic Rinna, 79, died Oct. 30, 2010. He was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish.

Rinna was born in December 1930, to Sam and Mary D’Ambrosio Rinna. He married Sue Piacitelli Rinna in January 1962. He always lent a helping hand and had a good story to share. He found a friend in everyone he met. He could always be found in the yard either manicuring the lawn, working in the garden or chatting with a neighbor. His family came first and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He was a wily card player and an avid sports fan. He thought anything could be cured with ice cream and a spoonful of honey.

He served in the Korean conflict, and then worked for Rio Grande Motor Way, Long Airdox, and Underground Service & Hydraulics among many other jobs in his long life.

He is survived by his wife Sue; five children Merry, Cris, Mike, Teresa and Karin; grandchildren Jeremy Reynolds, Amanda Tallerico, Nicole Tallerico, Merina Hardwick, Autumn Haradwick and Jordan Timothy; great-grandchild Gabriella; sons-in-law Scott Hardwick and Charley Simmons; Scott Bauman; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Committal was in Cliffview Cemetery in Price.

Cleo Gallo

SALT LAKE CITY — Cleo Gallo, 80, died at home Nov. 2, 2010.

Gallo was born Aug. 28, 1930, in Salt Lake City to Joseph and Jenny Garcia. She was the glue that held the family together with her patience and great Italian traditions. She loved cooking, making delicious feasts, gardening and canning. She always had her granddaughters by her side. The strength and courage she displayed to overcome life’s obstacles is heroic.

She is survived by her brother Billy; and nephew Sheldon; four children Johnny (Jane) Gallo, Jordy, Dallas and Brighton; grandchildren Penny Gallo, Angie (Roy), Jason, Shelby, Christy Gallo, Riquelle, Kip Gallo, Jami, Skyler and Pete; eight great-grandchildren Lena, Adriana, Jason and Bella.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church.

William Harold Gentry

PRICE — William Harold Gentry, 82, died at his home in Beaver Dam, Ariz., Nov. 2, 2010.

Gentry was born in Royal, Utah on Oct. 1, 1928, to Harold William and Melinda Gentry. He married Dorothy Gibson Gentry on Dec. 16, 1950 and they had four children. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean conflict. When he returned, he worked in the coal mines, drove a bus for Carbon County School District and retired as superintendent of transportation of Carbon County School District. He was a member of the Price Elks Lodge #1550. He taught his daughters the value of working hard and giving 100 percent all of the time. It was important to him that honesty and integrity went hand in hand. His two sons preceded him in death more than 30 years ago.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Gibson Gentry; daughters Pamela Gentry (Del) Hall and Penny Gentry (Jim) Fischer; daughter-in-law Tammy Gentry Hoffman; sister Ruth Pecharich; granddaughters Tina, Kim, Tracie, Stefanie; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price. Committal was in the Price City Cemetery.

Perena D. Icabazzi

SALT LAKE CITY — Perena D. Icabazzi, 92, died Nov. 2, 2010.

Icabazzi was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Tooele to Felix and Lucia DiPetro Delliskave. After her birth, her family moved to Murray. She met Donato Icabazzi, from Bari, Italy, while he was working in Ely, Nev. They were married in September 1939, and had one son. She worked for Albertson’s as head sales woman in the bakery department. When her husband was alive, they always had a beautiful garden. She was well into her 50s before she had a credit card, which she rarely used.

After her retirement from Albertson’s, she volunteered at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic School for 21 years in the second and third grades. She loved to crochet and made many afghans, which she gave as birthday and wedding gifts. She spent many weekends at the Murray Farmer’s Market helping her brother Ralph, who farmed well into his 90s. Her family and the Catholic Church meant everything to her throughout her long life.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Midge Galeazzi; two grandchildren Peter J. Icabazzi and Andreana Gamache; two great-grandchildren Amara and Anabelle Gamache; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
