Happy Birthday! Mary Taylor, a resident of Saint Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, will celebrate her 98th birthday on Easter Sunday, March 31. She attends Mass every day and is proud to say that she was a parishioner of Saint Stephen Catholic Church in San Francisco when the Most Rev. John C. Wester, now Bishop of Salt Lake City, was pastor. Strong Finish! Maria Schwarz, Judge Memorial CHS Class of 2009, ended her collegiate swimming career with three personal bests at the Division III North West Conference Championships for Linfield College. Happy Anniversary! Gerald and Dorothy Kaffer, members of Saint Ambrose Parish in Salt Lake City, will celebrate their 65 wedding anniversary March 29. Gerald has served many years as eucharistic minister, lector and usher. He is the past Grand Knight of the St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus Council. Dorothy also served many years as eucharistic minister. Dining Success! Knights of Columbus Council 10304 raised $750 at their recent Dine-to-Donate event at Village Inn, enough to fund three athletes for year-round activities.
