Rome-antic Christmas! The Rev. Mr. Christopher Gray, a graduate of The Madeleine Choir School and Judge Memorial Catholic High School, has been selected to served as the Deacon of the Word at Pope Benedict XVI’s Christmas Midnight Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. Deacon Gray, a student at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, will be ordained a priest for the Diocese of Salt Lake City on June 29. Noble Honor! Archbishop John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan, of Abuja, Nigeria, is the 2012 Pax Christi International Peace Laureate. He is being honored for promoting understanding among people of different faiths through dialogue in Africa, particularly in his homeland of Nigeria.
