National Merits! Owain Rice, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, and Isabel Romano, a member of Saint Ambrose Parish, both seniors at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, have been named Commended Students in the 2013-2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Appointed! Bishop Bernard A. Hebda has been appointed as coadjutor archbishop of Newark, N.J.; Auxiliary Bishop Shelton J. Fabre of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans has been appointed as bishop of Houma-Thibodaux, La.; and Bishop Donald Kettler, of Fairbanks, Alaska, has been appointed to the Diocese of St. Cloud, Minn.

Resigned! Bishop John Kinney, 76, has resigned from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of St. Cloud, Minn.; and Bishop Sam Jacobs, 75, has resigned from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.

College Scholar! Matt Kirkegaard, a 2011 graduate of Judge Memorial CHS, has been named a 2013 Udall Scholar, one of only 50 students nationwide and the only student from Utah.

Updated Assignment! Father Roberto Montoro is assigned as parochial vicar at Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish in Park City and Saint Lawrence Mission in Heber City.

NHRP! William Cisneros and Alexa Watson, seniors at Judge Memorial CHS, have been selected as 2013-2014 National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars. 

Up and Coming Designer! Claire Lordon, Judge Memorial CHS class of ’08, was chosen as the winner of KUER’s "Design Our Hoodie" Contest.
