Gold Cup! Pontifical North American College (Rome) seminarians took home the champion’s title in the Clericus Cup soccer series. The NAC Martyrs beat last year’s champions, the Pontifical Gregorian University, 3-0, in the final playoff May 12. Great Stride! Bishop Thomas J. Paprocki, of Springfield, Ill., has been named Life Runner of the Year by the national Life Runners board of directors. Bishop Paprocki serves as national chaplain for the organization, and has completed 18 marathons, including the 2011 Kansas City Waddell Reed Marathon in which he ran as part of a 170-member Life Runners team.
