Father Anastasius Iwuoha, Chaplain of Saint Joseph Villa and in residence of Saint Thomas Moore Parish, will celebrate the 18th anniversary of his ordination on Aug. 8; Father Clarence Sandoval, pastor of Saint Rose of Lima Parish, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his ordination on Aug. 21 and Father Kenneth L. Vialpando, pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Ogden, will celebrate the 11th anniversary of his ordination on Aug. 24.

Cardinal Eugenio de Araujo Sales, retired archbishop of Rio de Janeiro who defended the rights of the poor and attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council, died July 9 of a heart attack. He was 91.
