Copperton — Patricia Julia Peterson, 93, passed away on Sept. 22, 2011 at her home in Copperton, Utah.

Peterson was born on March 20, 1918 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Joseph and Carrie Ellis Doyle. She married A. Verl Peterson on July 29, 1936 in Bingham Canyon.

Peterson was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Parish Altar Society, Bingham Fire Ladies Auxiliary and numerous ladies clubs.

Peterson is survived by her four children, Verlene (Alton) Tharp, Sherry Norman, Rick (Debra) Peterson, G. Bud (Karen) Peterson; 18 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 39 great-great grandchildren and adopted family member, Shirley Mortensen.

Peterson is preceded in death by her parents, husband, children Joseph and Sandra; grandson Terry Tharp and sister, Kathryn (Jack) Nichols.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
