Paul Samuel Pezel

Lexington, Ky. — Paul Samuel Pezel, 86, passed away Jan. 27, 2015.
Pezel was born in Tooele, Jan. 22, 1929 to John and Katherine Pezel. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Utah, where he was also a member of the ROTC. He served during the Korean War in the United States Air Force, and was honorably discharged as a captain after receiving National Defense and United Nations service medals. He married Patricia Ann Drazich on Oct. 15, 1955. He was a long-time and active member of Saint Ann Parish as well as a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish. 
Pezel was preceded in death by son John Daniel and eight brothers and sisters: Emil (Virginia) Pezel, Mary (Marko) Zrno, Ann (Eddie) Hoffman, Katie (Chester) Gritzmacher, Lucille (John) Visher, Magdeline (Bob) Cudd, Helen (Marvin) Richens and John (Angie) Pezel.  
Pezel is survived by five children: Paul (Theresa) Pezel, Mark (Michelle) Pezel, Louise (Roger) Hendrickson, Lisa McDonald, Patrick (Anne) Pezel; seven grandchildren; sisters-in-law Angie Pezel and Josephine Drazich, brother-in-law Mark Drazich and many nieces and nephews.  
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
