Catholics from several parishes gathered at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Sept. 18, the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, for a memorial for unborn children. Participants recited the Chaplet of the Unborn, the rosary and a litany in response to abortion. They then heard from Christina Malloy, director of Sidewalk Advocates for Life, who shared the work her group is doing. Barbara Granja, chairwoman of the Respect for Life ministry at St. Thomas More Parish in Cottonwood Heights, also spoke briefly. The Respect Life ministries at St. Thomas More and St. Ambrose parishes sponsored the event.
