Ready for school in the fall

The fourth year of the Holy Cross School Readiness Program finished with graduation of 58 students who will be entering kindergarten and first grade this fall. Their achievements include: 21 students can identify the 26 letters of the alphabet and count higher than 20, and 41 can write their first name. The readiness program teaches these pre-literacy skills, in addition to classroom skills like following directions, raising hands, and playing well with classmates.
