SALT LAKE CITY — Rena Bonecher Berrett Baker, 96, passed away Jan. 7, 2012 of natural causes.

Baker on Jan. 13, 1916, to Peter and Fortuna Bonecher. She was a leader in the community and helped start the first 4th of July celebration in Riverton and the founder of Berretts Blossoms.

Baker was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Emery Berrett and second husband Max Baker; grandson Morgan Slater; three sisters and their husbands.

She is survived by three children, Estelle and Bill Slater, Larry and Robyn Berrett and Dave and Joan Berrett; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother; sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
