Right of Election

This past weekend we had two Rite of Election ceremonies in our Cathedral in which our catechumens entered the ranks of the "Elect" and our candidates confirmed their ongoing formation program toward full reception in the Catholic Church. A great majority of our parishes were represented as catechumens and candidates, godparents and sponsors, came together to celebrate this important step in the RCIA formation program. I am very grateful to all of the RCIA leaders who work so hard in journeying with our elect and candidates. I also wish to express gratitude to Mr. Timothy Johnston, our diocesan director of liturgy, and to the entire Cathedral staff for their wonderful work.
