Honolulu, Ha. — Robert (Bob) E. Sorensen, 76, passed away June 24, 2011 in Honolulu, Hawaii five weeks after the death of his wife of 58 years. Sorensen was born Sept. 6, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Alicia Joy Lei Aloha Joao on Dec. 25, 1953 in Saint Sophia Catholic Church in Kaunakakai, Hawaii. Sorensen was a Korean War veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the heating and air conditioning business for 30 plus years. Sorensen was an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Past State Deputy, Utah, and Master of the 4th Degree), and was an active member of Saint Martin de Porres Parish. Sorensen is survived by his children, Daisy Sorensen, Robert D. (Jill) Sorensen, Gary Peter (Patti) Sorensen, Paul (Michele) Sorensen, and Joseph (Angie) Sorensen; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marlene Johnson.
