Rodney D. Courtright

SALT LAKE CITY — Rodney "Rod" D. Courtright, 52, died Oct. 24.

Courtright was born May 15, 1954, in Salt Lake City to Gordon J. and Josephine Randall Courtright. He graduated from West High School in 1972. He lived in Glendora (La Puenta), Calif., for the past 18 years. Professionally he was a carpenter, certified welder, and general superintendant. He recently became certified to inspect structural steel and masonry. He also enjoyed working in his garage on his many projects and chatting with friends. Courtright loved the outdoors and hunting a vast range of game, as well as hunting with his camera.

He is survived by his sons, Rodney Daniel (Jennifer), Ryan Thomas (Bethany); two grandchildren, Jaden and Thomas; mother, Josephine Vialpando; brother, Martin; sister, Juanita Vialpando; four aunts; two uncles; two nieces; a nephew; and many cousins.
