Rosa Key, who died June 11, was "an unsung hero and somebody who worked hard to promote the faith in general and especially among Black Catholics," said the Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City. "She will be greatly missed in our community, and my heart goes out to her family as they mourn her loss. I know that the will be comforted not only by our belief in the resurrection but also knowing that Rosa made a difference in our community.”
Coverage of Key's funeral will appear in the June 29 Intermountain Catholic.
