SALT LAKE CITY — Rosalie Corey, 98, passed away Nov. 22, 2013.

Corey was born in Spring Glen to Joseph Bonza and Pauline Carrera. After losing her mother at the age of 3, Rosalie was raised by her grandparents, Carlo Carrera and Rosa Pessetto, on their farm in Helper. She began her 32-year teaching career in Kenilworth. She married Sam Corey. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Salt Lake Council of Women, and the Italian-American Civic League. She and her husband were also active members of the 49ers Club; the Elks, Moose and Eagle Lodges; Hollandia and Havio.

Corey was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Saint Ann and Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic churches.

Corey was preceded in death by her husband, Sam.

She is survived by children Richard (Marleen), Gerald (Rosemary), Geraldine (John) Dudley, Marianne (Ernesto) Agudo, and Joann (Bill) Price; grandchildren; in-laws; and a large extended family.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
