Rosemary E. Phillips

SALT LAKE CITY — Rosemary E. Phillips, 95, passed away on June 9, 2013.

Phillips was born in Cheyenne, Wyo. on Dec. 29, 1917 to Mary G. (Nolan) and Samuel A. Mohatt. She worked in the Judge Memorial Catholic High School cafeteria and became the head of food services. Then she worked for a few years at Westminster College. At one time, she played the organ at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and she was an active member for many years in the Altar Society and was their president.

Phillips is survived by her daughter, Louise Mitchell; son-in-law Gene Mitchell; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and seven great-grandchildren.

Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, sister Philomena (Mohatt) Krider, her beloved husband Emmett, daughter Cecilia and son Larry.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
