Saint Joseph CHS athletics recognized

For the sixth year in a row, Saint Joseph Catholic High School’s athletic program has earned the Deseret Morning News Award for the best Athletic 1A Program in Utah. The Jayhawks won state titles in girl’s basketball and tennis, and added second-place finishes in three other sports and third-place finishes in four more to claim its sixth straight 1A All-Sports title. Jayhawks Athletic Director Alex Salvo said he feels deeply proud when he sees a student with little previous experience get involved in a sport and excel on the court or field, and develop bonds with their coaches and teammates. Salvo was recognized this past year as the most outstanding girl’s high school soccer coach in the nation.
