Salyce Socorro Scarth

LAVERKIN — Salyce Socorro Scarth, 17, died June 3, when the jeep she was riding in rolled and she was ejected.

Scarth was born Nov. 16, 1989, to Jim and Kokys Scarth. She was an accomplished dancer who received many awards. She was Miss LaVerkin in 2005. Scarth was a straight A student, president of the Tigerette drill team, and on the track team at Hurricane High School. She performed last season in the "Nutcracker Suite," at Dixie College. She also like to snowboard, fish, and ride four-wheelers.

She is survived by her parents; grandmother, Tita; three brothers, Bill, John, and Sergio; four sisters, Diane, Debbie, Ann, and Sarah; and many loving family members and friends.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. George Catholic Church. Interment was in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
