Shirley Anderson Lemieux

BOUNTIFUL — Shirley A. Lemieux, 78, passed away Jan. 8, 2015.

Lemieux was born Oct. 15, 1936 in Anaconda, Mont. to Andrew and Gertrude Anderson. She graduated summa cum laude from Seattle University with a bachelor’s degree in music and elementary education. She taught music for years at Saint Olaf Catholic School and was the choir director for “the Sunshine Singers,” a children’s choir made up of students from Saint Olaf. She was also the church organist at Saint Olaf for 40 years while serving as the parish choir director and accompanist for 29 years. She married Mike on July 25, 1959.

Lemieux is survived by husband Michael J. Lemieux; children Paul (C. Kim),  Michele, John (Leslie) and Deborah; five grandchildren; and sister Lorraine Anderson.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Olaf Catholic Church.
