NOTRE DAME IND. — Holy Cross Sister Martha Neeser, 97, passed away Nov. 19, 2012.

Martha Neeser was born July 30, 1915 to Alma Jacob and Margaret Ann Neeser on the family farm near Inkom, Idaho. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1932 and trained to be a teacher, spending all of her mission years teaching in the western United States. In Utah she taught at St. Joseph School from 1967-78, and did parish work from 1982-1985. Because of health, she retired to St. Mary’s Convent, Notre Dame Ind., in 2003. She was active in the ministry of prayer until her death.

Sister Neeser is survived by her brother Gerald Neeser and other family members.
