Sr. Stella Marie retires

Daughter of Charity Sister Stella Marie Zahner was honored with a retirement party on April 12; she is shown being blessed by other sisters at the luncheon. She came to the Diocese of Salt Lake City in 1961 to teach at Notre Dame de Lourdes School in Price; her most recent position was a director of Utah Catholic Schools’ Special Needs Program, which offers tuition assistance to those in need. Sr. Stella made her final vows as a Daughter of Charity in 1957. She plans to stay in Utah. See additional photos in the Intermountain Catholic Facebook page.
