The eighth grade girls’ basketball team at St. Ambrose Parish, Salt Lake City, has been undefeated for two consecutive seasons in the Parish Athletic Recreation Association (PARA) League, and undefeated in tournament play including the St. Ann Parish Coaches’ Invitational. The team members are Erin Cole (front left), Rima McComas, Gabby Matinkhah, Kelly Hanlon, Erin Romero (back left), coach John Neville, Christy Smith, Mary Neville, Ellen Sliwinski, Raina Russell, Coach Tom Gurrister, and Gabby Gurrister. Team coaches Neville and Gurrister said it has been a sweet ride, and they look forward to the team members bringing their talents to Judge Memorial Catholic High School, where most of the girls plan to attend.
