RIVERTON — The second-grade class at Saint Andrew School in Riverton has been learning about the importance of working hard and how families work together to complete chores at home. They have also learned the difference between wants and needs, and that adults must have jobs and careers to earn money to pay for their family’s needs. Each student completed a project about a job or career. They were instructed to interview someone who works in that profession and research it in books or on the Internet. Students then completed a book, poster or diorama to share with the class. Many professions were included in their presentations: dancing in the ballet, construction, civil engineering, business ownership, medical fields, electricians and geologists. All the students now have a greater understanding of how hard parents work to provide for their families. Courtesy of St. Andrew School
