The ESL Program that began last year at Saint George Parish has been a successful and rewarding adventure. At the request of the pastor, Fr. Oscar Martin Picos, three retired English teachers volunteered to teach the English language to Hispanic parishioners. Fifty people, ranging in age from their 20s to 60s, attend classes and several parishioners volunteer to assist the teachers each Thursday night. On March 1, Yanira De Paz, Christian Sanchez, Salome Ochoa, Javier Flores and Juan Prado received certificates for their perfect attendance during the months of January and February.
