EPHRAIM — Stella Welder, 92, passed away Sept. 20, 2012 at the Golden Skyline retirement community. Welder was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. Her membership at Saint Jude Mission in Ephraim started in 1989. She and her husband, John, were founders and generous benefactors of the new Saint Jude church and center. Welder was preceded in death by her husband in 2009. Welder is survived by two daughters: Paulita and Cathy; son John Jr.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial prayer service is to be held as a "celebration of life" Friday, Oct. 5 at Saint Jude Mission in Ephraim at 3:30 p.m.
