Steven Mash

SALT LAKE CITY — Steven Mash, 92, passed away on Feb. 23, 2013.

Mash was born Aug. 10, 1920 to Frank Mash (Masciotra) and Felicia Casciano. He attended the University of Utah until WWII cut his education short; served his country in the US Army, European Theater, as a sharpshooter (squad leader) and received a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged. He was a lifelong member of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish.

Mash is survived by his wife, Virginia; children Steve Mash and Paul Mash and Catherine (Richard) Prehn; a granddaughter; great-granddaughters and a large extended family.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
