DRAPER — Lt. Col. Roy C. Robinette, 79, died Jan. 3.

Robinette was born Sept. 30, 1929, to Roy C. Robinette and Clara Reynolds in Princeton, W. Va. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Mining and Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Wyoming. He served in the Vietnam War, and retired after 22 years in the Air Force. He continued to serve he country as a consultant for the Department of Defense for the remainder of his career. His family means the world to him and he has promised to keep them in his prayers.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; children, daughter, Michelle (Mehran), sons, Steven (Diane) and Terry (Lori); brother, Louis (Natsuko); grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Christopher, Meggan, James, Anna, Taylor, Jonathan, and honorary son Jeremy.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
