DRAPER — Juan Diego Catholic High School Performing Arts will present the 2006 Tony Award-winning production "The Drowsy Chaperone." The production is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920’s.

Cast members include Matthew Illario as Man In Chair, Erik Tita as Robert Martin, Megan Tigue as Janet Van De Graaff, Zach Schonrock as George and Amy Cid as The Drowsy Chaperone. The production staff of Steve Pay (director), Jacky Hamann (student director), Shelti Thompson (choreographer), and Brian and Erika Manternach (music directors) once again expects quality from their performers.

Rehearsals began in mid-August and the students have been working four days a week, after school, to perfect dances, acting and vocals. A student technical staff is also in place to build and paint sets, design the sound and lighting, and run the backstage activities.

Performances are Oct. 24-27 and 29. Curtain goes up at 7 p.m. and the cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children and seniors. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the high school beginning Oct. 1 or at the door the night of the performance. For information call 801-984-7650 or visit at www.jdchs.org.
