TOOELE — Warren Epperley, 87, died Oct. 29, 2013. Epperley was born on June 15, 1926 in Roanoke, Va. to James Epperley and Artie Jacobs. He married Thelma (Cookie) Morrell on April 15, 1950 at Saint Marguerite Catholic Church. He served his country in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1966 after 22 years of service. He received many medals and honors for his military service. Epperley worked at Tooele Army Depot for five years before wartime injuries forced him into retirement. Epperley was a convert to the Catholic faith. He was past president of St. Marguerite’s Mens Club, a church usher, a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and past Grand Knight of St. Marguerite’s Council. Epperley is survived by his wife, Cookie; sons Rev. Wayne T. Epperley, CSSp; Tom Jr. (June), and Paul (Jen); grandson; granddaughter; great grandson; great granddaughter; sister Kaky Shirley; and numerous nieces, nephews and sisters- and brothers-in-law. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Marguerite Catholic Church.
